The standard fire protection of Hybrid beams is for R120. Additional protection (up to R240) can be realized by applying a CARBOLINE fire-resistant mortar (wet-mix spray).
The beams continuation through the support can be done by a bolted connection using appropriate column shoes, which are able to transfer the moment on the support in a multi-span grider.
This type of connection is usually located at a distance of 0.25-1.5 m from the beam support.
The ring beam is usually integrated in the Hybridbeam body, i.e. the beam’s reinforcement is used as a ring’s reinforcement. In addition the Hybridbeam must be equipped in the front part with reinforcing bars or socket joint allowing the ring beam to be continued.
This support is used if the width of the beam is at least 15 cm lower than the column width. During assembly, the knives are put on the outer side of the webs, slipped into a column shoe, and then tightened with screws in the appropriate holes in the webs.
Hybridbeams can be painted in selected colors using basically any paint. In the description of the beams, we will indicate the types of paints that can be used and examples of paints that should not be used.
